Quick Review: This so-so haunted house Korean horror flick could be described as "Insidious" meets "The Amitiville Horror", meets "Triangle", if sadly, not in a good way. Although well-acted, sinister in tone, and with solid emotional depth, "House of the Disappeared" fails to get rid of most genre cliches, at least until its thrid act, when it gets pretty twisty, even tricky. All the melodrama spoils the little tension it creates, and the 'fear factor' is so nonexistent.
